Getting started

How much do your services cost?

Fees depend on the work involved, so we provide a clear quote before we begin. Your first 15-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation.

How do I book an appointment?

Use our online booking page to choose a 15-minute time. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 7:45 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays.

Can we meet by phone or video?

Yes. Choose phone, video or in person when you book. For video calls, we email you a meeting link before the appointment.

Where are you located?

We are located in Brampton, Ontario. In-person meetings are by appointment, and the office address is included in your booking confirmation email.

Do you work with clients outside Brampton?

Yes. We work with clients across the GTA and throughout Ontario by phone and video.

Personal tax

What is the deadline for my personal tax return?

For most individuals, April 30. If you or your spouse or common-law partner are self-employed, you have until June 15 to file, but any balance owing is still due April 30.

I missed filing for a few years. What should I do?

Contact us. We can prepare and file the outstanding returns and discuss options such as CRA’s Voluntary Disclosures Program where appropriate.

I received a letter from CRA. Can you help?

Yes. We review the letter, explain what CRA is asking for and, with your authorization, respond on your behalf.

Business and corporate

Should I incorporate my business?

It depends on your income, how much you draw personally and your long-term plans. We review the numbers with you before recommending a structure.

When is my corporation’s T2 return due?

Within six months of the corporation’s fiscal year-end. Any balance owing is generally due two or three months after year-end.

Can you help me plan the sale of my business?

Yes. We compare a share sale with an asset sale, review eligibility for the lifetime capital gains exemption and coordinate with your lawyer on the transaction.

What is an estate freeze?

A reorganization that fixes the value of your shares today so future growth passes to your children or a family trust, which can reduce tax on death.

Do you provide audits or reviews?

No. Our firm does not provide audit or review engagements. We prepare compiled financial statements under CSRS 4200, which provide no assurance.
